Rails & Ales, Know Before You Go
Rails & Ales, Colorado’s finest mountaintop brewfest by train, returns again and here’s what you need to know before you go:
No empty chairs. This train sells out months in advance. Don’t wait to buy your tickets or you will miss out.
Early bird special. The fun begins early with a block party the night before with our Rails & Ales partner the San Luis Valley Brewery just down the street from the depot.
Dress for success. This is an outdoor festival in the Colorado Rockies. The weather could change quickly so be ready for cool or warm temps by dressing in layers, wearing sturdy shoes and bringing your sunscreen.
Age appropriate. We’ll be checking your I.D. so don’t forget to bring it along and leave the minors at home. No infants, no kiddos, no animals. Sorry!
Closed case. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. There is a BBQ meal available for sale and plenty of beer to go round. Pretzel necklaces permitted.
How dry am I? . No alcoholic drinks will be served on the return ride from the brewfest to Alamosa. This is your chance to enjoy the ride with hundreds of new friends after an afternoon full of sampling, quaffing, slurping, and dancing. After hitting the bottle at 9400’, you won’t miss it on the trip home we promise.
