RAILS & ALES TRAIN RIDE

Quick Details

COLD BREWS AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS ON THE RAILS & ALES TRAIN

The annual Rails & Ales Brewfest combines our favorite things: classic rail equipment, a rustic Rocky Mountain setting, live music, and handcrafted brews from the region’s best breweries. There’s something really special about hopping on a train with your friends and riding to the wide open space we call Fir Station — our little piece of heaven custom-built for the railroad.

Fir Station highlights how nature and music can come together and perfectly complement each other. Every year, the Rails & Ales Brewfest brings together brewers and their devoted fans, a hardy group that understands the simple truth of this event — you can only get here by rail, and it doesn’t get any better than this.

Hop on the train and join us for this year’s Rails & Ales Brewfest! Enjoy some of the best brews around and spend a great day in the mountains. It’s a Colorado experience like no other.

  • Chevron down Ticketing:
  • You may pick up your tickets any time after 12pm noon on Friday. We recommend collecting your tickets early in order to avoid the long line on Saturday Morning. The ticket window is open late until 9:00pm on Friday evening. So come get your tickets Friday and then go enjoy the Block Party at San Luis Valley Brewing. We will re-open at 7:00am on Saturday Morning. The Depot is located at 610 State Ave.
Boarding: Allow extra time (1 hour prior to departure) to go through the boarding process because there is a liability form to sign and we issue a wristband and complementary pint glass. All bags are subject to search, which takes a bit of time, but we will get everyone on board!

  • Chevron down Drinking:
  • Beer is available for purchase on the train on the way to the event. Beer at the event is included in your ticket price. The train ride home is “dry” but there are plenty of snacks and water available on board. Remember that we will be at 9400’. At that elevation the beer hits harder and faster than what you might be used to. So pace yourself for a good time. Our goal is for everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time.

  • Chevron down Parking:
